is my frenchie really a french bulldog?

I have a 3 yrs old frenchie,hes a pure bred,i got all the papers and a pedigree liscence or something saying hes a pure bred.My friend who owns a frenchie(girl)wants puppies from my dog,it must sound stupid but im starting to wonder if i really have a pure bred frenchie coz hes too big for a french bulldog,he weigh 20.6kg,(im not over feeding him,he eats once a day),he does looks like a french bulldog,but hes so big like an english bulldog.Im a member of french bully owners group here and everytime we get together my dog is the biggest of them all.Is there a small frenchie and a big frenchie breed?
yes i read on the internet that frenc bulldogs should be just 20 to 28lbs. and thats why i weigh mine and i was surprised hes that heavy but i dont think hes fat coz im really just feeding him once a day at night coz i dont want him to be over weight.Im from japan and hes from Japan Kennel Club Inc. hes got pedigree certification showing hes breed and all.The breeder recommended neutering but i thought that i want to be a breeder someday so i didnt,but now i guess i have no choice.

The breed standard calls for the dog not to exceed 28lbs
That’s about 12kg.
What KC is he registered with?
Do you have pictures?
Get your dog neutered (if he was from a good breeder that would have been required), and advise your friend to get her b*tch spayed.
Nope there is only one French Bulldog breed. Your boy unfortunately is over the standard which is 28lbs/12.7 kilos.
He’s oversized and thus shouldn’t be bred.

that’s too big for a frenchie!
there is just one size in french bulldogs!
be careful,if you breed your big dog with a small female:the female will need a C-section or she will die from the huge puppies inside!
