Possible illnesses in French Bulldog puppy?
Tammie asked:
My family has recently gotten a French Bulldog puppy; he is eight weeks old. However, he has clear nasal discharge, and threw up mucus the other morning. He also seems to have red skin beneath the fur on his face. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be? Thank you!

Call a vet, especially regarding the redness fo skin. It could be an infection.
Frenchies, just like bulldogs, have narrow nostrils and so are prone with brachycephalic syndrome. Their airways are obstructed to varying degrees and can cause anything from noisy or labored breathing to total collapse of the airway. Dogs with brachycephalic syndrome commonly snuffle and snort.
Here’s a link that can probably give you a more understanding on the care of this breed, prior your visit to the vet.
I really can’t, (actually I won’t say), say but you can find out for sure when you take him in to the vet to get his shots which should be really soon.
In the puppy package there is an examination and from that they will see everything you tell me now, it will be documented and the necessary medications will be prescribed.
Try to get him in this week and take not if he is seating and drinking. Not to mention is he eliminating well.
