WHERE CAN I FIND ETHICAL FRENCH BULLDOG BREEDERS?
*Sinead* asked:
I am looking for a French Bulldog. I DO NOT want to buy from a “back yard breeder” or a puppy mill. I want to buy from an ethical breeder only! If anyone knows any in the Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, or Ohio areas please let me know.

Try the French Bulldog Club of America

Good luck!
start here.. and ask for references and referrals
Every year, between six and eight million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters; some three to four million of these animals are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. Try getting a dog from the pound. Mixed breed dogs have less genetic issues and you are saving a life….that is something you can be proud of!
If you must:
Basset suggested the French Bulldog Club of America. Getting a breeder referral through them is an EXCELLENT way to find a truly ethical breeder. Club member breeders are bound by a code of ethics, and while it’s always important to interview and research a breeder, the Breed Club is the best place to start.
If you’d consider adopting an adult Frenchie from Rescue, here is also the link to the rescue group for the breed:
